Aussie Pet Mobile

A one of a kind “feel-good” service with happy customers, Aussie Pet Mobile has established itself in both domestic and international franchising. Essentially a pet grooming service on wheels – more specifically, in a Mercedes Sprinter van –, Aussie Pet Mobile provides trained groomers that supply a 15-step treatment that includes shampoo, massage, blow-dry, brushing, nail clipping and eyes/ears cleaning. Other services include “pawdicures,” teeth brushing, flea and tick control and re-moisturizing treatment for skin and coat.

Promoting less stress for pets and less hassle for owners, Aussie Pet Mobile’s business is uniquely positioned to exploit long-term predictable trends in the U.S., Canada and overseas – namely, the growing desire for convenience and saving time. The Aussie system thrives in all climates, including very cold, wet winters (when pets are most likely to get muddy and be in dire need of grooming). Most importantly, there are no national branded competitors and no franchises competing with Aussie Pet Mobile – only fragmented mom ‘n’ pop centers which, for the record, are generally booked solid.

Investment Required

The fee for an Aussie Pet Mobile franchise is $40,000 for a single unit or $80,000 for multiple units.

Aussie Pet Mobile provides the following range of investments required to open your initial franchise. The range assumes that all items are paid for in cash. To the extent that you choose to finance any of these expense items, your front-end investment could be substantially reduced.

On-going Expenses

Aussie Pet Mobile single-unit franchisees pay a royalty fee equal to the greater of 8% of monthly gross volume or $596 and advertising fees equal to the greater of 4% of monthly gross revenues or $298. Multi-unit franchisees pay a royalty fee equal to the greater of 8% of monthly gross volume or an amount increasing from $596 to $1,788 over time and advertising fees equal to the greater of 4% of monthly gross revenues or an amount increasing from $298 to $894 over time. When a franchisee’s gross volume reaches $15,000 per month, the royalty fee drops to 5% and the advertising fee drops to 3% with no minimum requirements.

What You Get—Training and Support

Franchisees must attend and complete a 5-day business training program with classroom instruction on all aspects of managing the Aussie Pet Mobile franchise, including recruiting groomers, advertising and customized vehicle training.  This is followed by an 80-hour operations training program; a comprehensive overview of all aspects of understanding and grooming dogs and cats.

Aussie Pet Mobile provides ongoing optional dispatcher training, as well as 3-day advanced clipping classes for further grooming instruction.  Franchisees are supported with ongoing webinars, a well-maintained intranet system and a toll-free phone number.
