Kitchen Solvers provides cabinet refacing as a convenient and efficient alternative to traditional cabinet replacement. By installing new fronts on existing cabinetry, Kitchen Solvers presents homeowners with a beautiful new kitchen without the time and expense of overall replacement. Studies have shown that remodeling kitchens and bathrooms provides the best return on homeowners� money, and homeowners have and will continue to remodel these areas at a faster pace than ever before.
Since being founded in 1982, Kitchen Solvers has expanded to offer pre-built and custom cabinetry, solid surface countertop replacement, acrylic bathtub liners, glueless laminate flooring and closet organizing systems.
Franchisees have the option of being a hands-on owner-operator or an owner-executive who manages a staff. Due to strategic alliances that supply necessary products on an as-needed basis, franchisees do not have to invest capital in fabricating tools, nor do they need a warehouse to hold excess inventory.
Investment Required The owner-operator fee for a Kitchen Solvers franchise is $27,500, plus an additional fee of $150 per every 1,000 households over 50,000 in the territory. The owner-executive fee for a Kitchen Solvers franchise is $31,995, plus an additional fee of $150 per every 1,000 households over 100,000 of the territory.
Kitchen Solvers provides the following range of investments required to open your initial franchise. The range assumes that all items are paid for in cash. To the extent that you choose to finance any of these expense items, your front-end investment could be substantially reduced. The following figures refer to an owner-operator franchise.
On-Going Expenses Kitchen Solvers franchisees pay a royalty fee that ranges from 4% to 8% of gross sales, a local marketing fee equal to the greater of 5% of gross sales or $7,500, and a marketing fee equal to 1% of gross sales.
What You Get�Training and Support Owner-operators receive five days of training at corporate headquarters. Training covers effective techniques for marketing, professional selling, product installation, competitive pricing and efficient business operations. Franchisees go through the actual process of refacing a kitchen by experimenting with an actual model, and also receive installation videos, an accompanying manual and other resources for kitchen and bath remodeling.
Owner-executives attend two separate training sessions. The first covers advanced marketing and selling techniques, personnel management, risk management, good business practices and efficient business operations. The second covers solid-surface, bath-lines and wall-surround installation techniques, as well as the Planet Millennium software, which is designed to provide virtual remodeling for customer presentations. Owner-executives also learn how to train employees.
All franchisees receive support from a toll-free phone number, a Director of Installation who is knowledgeable with all Kitchen Solvers products, an online franchisee network, annual conventions and more. Marketing campaigns will be tailored to individual franchisee needs, factoring in personalized demographics, cost-effectiveness and market analyses. Other marketing support includes turnkey marketing materials, print and radio advertising, direct mail campaigns and a database of region-specific newspapers and publications.
