La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill

La Salsa pioneered the quick casual Mexican segment with the use of fresh, quality ingredients and classic Mexican recipes. Since 1979, La Salsa has focused on using the best ingredients to create flavors and recipes unique to La Salsa. Today, the high-quality La Salsa menu is built using charbroiled cooking with tender sirloin steak, marinated chicken breast, fresh produce and signature sauces.  Bold, contemporary flavors and an extensive salsa bar with seven varieties set La Salsa apart from the competition.

Entrepreneurs are often attracted to the fresh signature taste of La Salsa. In fact, some of La Salsa’s most loyal franchise owners were once frequent customers.  Franchisees soon discover that in addition to the flavorful menu, La Salsa franchisees are successful because of the wide array of services and support they receive.

Investment Required

The fee for a La Salsa franchise is $50,000 for a traditional restaurant and $15,000 for an express restaurant, with additional fees for area development agreements.  La Salsa also requires all franchisees to pay a $10,000 initial training program fee.

La Salsa provides the following range of investments required to open your initial franchise. The range assumes that all items are paid for in cash. To the extent that you choose to finance any of these expense items, your front-end investment could be substantially reduced. La Salsa offers indirect and direct financing for some aspects of the initial investment for qualifying franchisees.

On-going Expenses

La Salsa franchisees pay a royalty fee equal to 5% of gross sales for traditional restaurants and 7% of gross sales for express restaurants, an advertising fee equal to up to 3% of gross sales (currently 1% of gross sales) for traditional restaurants and 1% of gross sales for express restaurants. If La Salsa establishes a co-op in the franchisee’s region, franchisees must also pay co-op advertising contributions equal to no more than 1.5% of gross sales.

What You Get—Training and Support

Initial training takes place over 6 to 8 weeks at La Salsa training facilities in California or a designated La Salsa restaurant. Extensive classroom instruction and on-the-job training covers all aspects of food preparation and safety, operations and management duties.

La Salsa strives to provide franchisees with the systems and resources needed to facilitate a successful operation, by providing comprehensive support in the areas of real estate and construction, marketing support, restaurant opening and on-going operations support.

Territory

La Salsa does not grant exclusive territories, except under area development agreements.
