RE/MAX is a real estate network that was founded in 1973 by Dave and Gail Liniger that began with a group of just 21 agents. Throughout more than 3 decades of consecutive growth, RE/MAX became an industry leader in transaction sides, productivity and education. Investment Required
The fee for a RE/MAX franchise is $25,000 in areas with a general population of more than 40,000 people. The fee is reduced to $17,500 for areas with a general population of 10,000 to 40,000, and it is $12,500 for areas with a population of less than 10,000 people.

RE/MAX provides the following range of investments required to open your initial franchise. The range assumes that all items are paid for in cash. To the extent that you choose to finance any of these expense items, your front-end investment could be substantially reduced.

On-Going Expenses
RE/MAX franchisees pay monthly on-going fees that have two components: the first equals the greater of $120 per month for each sales associate or 1/5 of the monthly management fee that the franchisee charges each of them; the other component equals the greater of 20% of all broker service fees charged to sales associates or 1% of commissions received by the office. Other fees include annual dues of $390 for each sales associate and a regional advertising fund fee of $75 per month for each sales associate.

What You Get�Training and Support
RE/MAX maintains its own satellite television network for training, which allows agents and recruits to earn credits towards continuing education and more advanced designations in the convenience of their own home or office. Every month, 60 hours of programming are aired, which includes coaching programs with leading coaches of the industry. Subjects cover mastery of recent Internet strategies and computer programs, which are relevant to the work of all real estate professionals.

Another advantage of RE/MAX is the network of RE/MAX Affiliates, which is extensive and offers unlimited opportunities for making partners, who in turn can generate referrals. One valuable resource is RE/MAX�s quarterly 48-page newspaper, which allows franchisees to advertise for referral partners. Affiliates refer customers to more than 120,000 Sales Associates at more than 7,000 offices around the world.

RE/MAX maintains a national television advertising campaign to maintain its status as one of the best-known names in the world. Support is provided from a franchise development consultant, and the Approved Supplier program connects franchisees with the suppliers who can provide quality products and services. An exclusive members-only website offers resources such as presentations, marketing materials and more networking opportunities.
