Martinizing Dry Cleaning

Martinizing has over 500 stores worldwide and is the single largest dry cleaning company in the United States. Martinizing is also the most recognized name in dry cleaning today and has been ranked the #1 dry cleaning company by Entrepreneur magazine for 20 years. Martinizing’s success lends itself to its recession resistant service because people will always need their clothes cleaned. Dry cleaning becomes increasingly necessary regardless of ever-changing fashion trends and styles.

Martinizing has over 60 years of experience in the dry cleaning industry and provides unparalleled support and opportunities for franchisees. Over 70% of Martinizing franchise stores are owned and operated by Martinizing franchisees and more than 30% of Martinizing franchisees own multiple stores.  The popularity of this franchise opportunity lends itself to the fact that Martinizing offers retail business hours with no late nights and small, easy-to-manage staffs, which reduces overhead and stress allowing franchisees to concentrate on working in the business.  In addition, Martinizing franchises do not have large inventories or large deliveries to keep track of and franchisees are offered an upscale environment to work in. Martinizing is available to franchisees every step of the way to offer support, guidance, and expertise in the field of dry cleaning.

What You Get—Training and Support

Martinizing provides the Martinizing Training Program for all new storeowners and operating managers. It consists of both classroom and hands-on training. Typically, franchisees spend one week at International Headquarters in Cincinnati, OH, and approximately 80 hours in a hands-on program at the franchisee’s Martinizing store prior to opening. The training program covers marketing, financial, technical, management and service skills.

Martinizing provides step-by-step guidelines for franchisees’ grand opening marketing, as well as detailed Marketing Concepts and Marketing Tools manuals which feature a selection of off-the-shelf local store marketing programs. In addition, high-quality marketing support materials are available for local television, radio, and direct mail use. In-store point of purchase posters are produced quarterly and promotional as well as premium specialty items are available to help promote any special occasion. As with all other areas of franchise operation, assistance from the Martinizing marketing staff is available to franchisees on an on-going basis. A quarterly newsletter, titled Looking Good, is available to keep franchisees abreast of news and developments within the dry cleaning industry and the Martinizing organization.
