Kumon North America
Kumon is an after-school program that inspires children to be more self-confident and disciplined by improving their academic skills in math and reading. It is the largest and most established program of its kind in the world. Whether students are struggling or seeking enrichment, Kumon helps children of any age reach their full potential by letting on the individual needs and abilities of each child to dictate their progress in the program. Different from tutoring, Kumon facilitates self-acquisition of not only skills, but also the study habits needed to improve academic performance.
Kumon offers innovative programs that motivate students and offer recognition for their accomplishments, such as the Advanced Student Honor Roll for students who work beyond their grade level; the Kumon Cosmic Club, which allows younger students to collect points that may be redeemed for prizes; and the Kumon Math Challenge, an annual event that allows students in grades one through 10 to compete for scholarships.
With franchisees in 43 countries, Kumon has helped more students succeed than any other after-school program.
