Blimpie

With over forty years of experience in selling submarine style sandwiches with the highest quality meats, cheeses, and toppings on freshly baked breads, Blimpie has thrived due to its flexible and popular concept. Traditional restaurants can be found in free-standing buildings, strip centers and shopping malls. Blimpie also reaches a wide group of customers through its placement in non-traditional locations, including convenience stores, gas-station food marts, universities, hospitals, stadiums, kiosks and vending machines.

Blimpie is dedicated to creating a consistent, quality experience for every customer. Their most recent innovation is a program called The Next Great Step, which improves each restaurants merchandising, dcor and menu variety.

Investment Required
The fee for a Blimpie franchise is $18,000 for a traditional restaurant and $10,000 for a non-traditional restaurant.

Blimpie provides the following range of investments required to open your initial franchise. The range assumes that all items are paid for in cash. To the extent that you choose to finance any of these expense items, your front-end investment could be substantially reduced.

On-Going Expenses
Blimpie franchisees pay royalties equal to 6% of gross revenue, advertising fees equal to 4% of gross revenue, an initial program fee of $40 per week for the first 50 weeks of operation and financial services/administration fees of $300 to $500 per month.

What You GetTraining and Support
The Blimpie training program begins with 80 hours of direct experience in a local Blimpie restaurant, followed by two weeks of formal instruction at Blimpie University and concluding with 40 additional on-site hours at an additional Blimpie restaurant. Blimpie University teaches our franchisees valuable marketing, accounting, personnel management, cost management and customer relations skills.

A Blimpie representative will be on hand to address all business-related issues. Franchisees also receive continuing support from an array of materials to assist them in operations, such as quarterly newsletters, how to operating manuals and computer-based management systems. In addition, Blimpie provides lease negotiation assistance, national purchasing power and marketing programs that operate at the national, regional and local levels.

Territory
Blimpie does not grant exclusive territories.
