The Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) provides all of the information that is required by law to be provided to a prospective franchisee before he or she legally commits to becoming a franchisee. Having this information available when one starts the due diligence process would be optimal, thus saving a great deal of wasted time if there is damaging or unacceptable information in the FDD. Unfortunately, most franchisors are reluctant to provide prospective franchisees with their FDD until they are fairly far down the due diligence path. Legally, a franchisor is obligated to provide a prospective franchisee with their most current FDD a minimum of 14 days prior to signing an agreement.
FranchiseDisclosures.com was set up specifically to provide current and archived FDDs for prospective franchisees, franchise attorneys, franchise industry suppliers, and others involved with various phases of the franchising industry. The site lists over 25,000 FDDs and UFOCs from over 5,000 franchisors, with many documents dating back to the 1990s. Individual FDDs cost $220. Click here if you would like to purchase an FDD.With our knowledge of and access to these documents, we believe it is beneficial to provide complimentary and representative FDDs to the franchising community.

Going forward, we intend to add a new FDD every week. At any one time, there will be four FDDs available for downloading and/or review.
