Athena is a bright new face in the after school learning center market co-founded by two experienced entrepreneurs that have spent their careers in the franchise and education industries. The business model has been well thought out for today's economic conditions, and also designed for the single-unit operator as well as the multi-unit operator. The programs offered in the center are directly aligned with Common Core State Standards (CCSS), which will give you the competitive edge in the marketplace.

Investment Required

The initial fee to purchase an Athena Learning Center franchise is $25,000. Athena Learning Centers provides the following range of investments required to open your initial franchise. The range assumes that all items are paid for in cash. To the extent that you choose to finance any of these expense items, your front-end investment could be substantially reduced.

Ongoing Expenses

Franchisees are required to pay ongoing royalty fees equal to the greater of 7% of gross revenue, or the minimum royalty of $250 per month. Other ongoing expenses include a national/regional advertising fee equal to 2% of gross revenue and local advertising of at least $1,500 per month.

What You Get: Training and Support

New franchisees will be enrolled in a five-day initial training program to take place at company headquarters in Princeton, NJ. The program will cover the Athena philosophy, Common Core modules, marketing and advertising, and management and administration. Athena Learning Centers will continue to provide ongoing assistance via email, phone, video conference, or on-site, as well as offer additional training courses when deemed appropriate.
